A Longitudinal Analysis of Center of Pressure in Pregnant Gait throughout Pregnancy and Post-partum
نویسندگان
چکیده
The changes of physiological and morphological during pregnancy could lead to gait pattern’s changes. The aim of this study was to analysis the variation of pregnancy gait balance. Sixteen healthy pregnant women by choosing were performed during the second and third trimesters and again post-partum. Novel EMED was used for measuring the trajectory of the centre of pressure (COP). The results revealed that COP deviation distance (Dn) significantly increase in third trimester compared with post-partum during the initial contact phase (P=0.038). No differences were observed in the deviation distance of trimesters and postpartum during the forefoot push off phase. This method and results maybe have a new sight to reveal the dynamic stability with advanced pregnancy.

Temporal and spatial parameters of gait during pregnancy.
PURPOSE The objective of this study was to describe spatial and temporal parameters during gait in pregnant women, and to compare it with women in post-partum and with a control group. METHODS To investigate alteration in natural locomotion, we used an electronic walkway (GAITRite system). Fifty-eight pregnant women (four last months of pregnancy), nine post-partum women and twenty-three heal...

All of the methods used for preterm deliv...
متن کاملEffect of HIV infection on pregnancy-related mortality in sub-Saharan Africa: secondary analyses of pooled community-based data from the network for Analysing Longitudinal Population-based HIV/AIDS data on Africa (ALPHA)
BACKGROUND Model-based estimates of the global proportions of maternal deaths that are in HIV-infected women range from 7% to 21%, and the effects of HIV on the risk of maternal death is highly uncertain. We used longitudinal data from the Analysing Longitudinal Population-based HIV/AIDS data on Africa (ALPHA) network to estimate the excess mortality associated with HIV during pregnancy and the...
متن کاملIntraocular pressure in pregnant and non-pregnant Nigerian women.
A number of hormones are known to affect intraocular pressure. Of these, the female sex hormones are the predominant ones to cause variations in intraocular pressure. The aim of this study was to determine if variation in sex hormones in pregnancy affects intraocular pressure. This study was a longitudinal one. 117 pregnant women aged 20 to 35 years in their first trimester of pregnancy were fo...
متن کاملPnm-28: Longitudinal Changes of Maternal Anthropometric Indices: A Cohort Study in Women during Pregnancy and Postpartum
Background: Evaluation of fat distribution is a way to assessment of physical health. Waist to Hip Ratio and waist circumference are the simplest anthropometric measurements to be used to determine the obesity and related disorders in pregnancy. Today a close consideration is given to WHR and WC assessment in order to evaluate physical health in epidemiological studies. Materials and Methods: O...
